Contributions
The
Board for the Norman Lane Jr. Memorial Project includes Vietnam combat veterans
who were friends or acquaintances of Norman Lane's, friends and contemporaries
from Norman's time at Vanderbilt and from his adopted hometown of Brownsville,
Tennessee, and members of the extended Taylors of Tabernacle community. They
have led successful careers in business, government, and academia, and in other
walks of life as well. The Project will continue to make disbursements and fund
activities undertaken to fulfill its Historical and Educational objectives.
The Project is currently operated as a Nonprofit Corporation, registered as a business with the State of Tennessee, and is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as Tax-Exempt, under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Donors
may deduct contributions to the Norman Lane Jr. Memorial Project as
provided in section 170 of the Code. Bequests, legacies, devises,
transfers, or gifts to the Project or for use by the Project are deductible
for Federal estate and gift tax purposes if they meet the applicable
provisions of sections 2055, 2106, and 2522 of the Code.
The Norman Lane Jr. Memorial Project is also registered with Dun & Bradstreet, and with the U.S. Government System for Award Management (SAM) and with Grants.gov.
